Setting the comfort, ECO and hot water mode | heat pump

To set the operating programmes of your heat pump

Save energy and costs with operating programmes: At the end of the heating season, activate the hot water mode on your heat pump so that it only provides hot water during summer operation. Are you going on holiday? Remember to turn on the ECO mode of your heat pump! Our help video shows you how.

Set operating modes: Step by step

1. After pressing the menu button for 3 seconds, the controller can be unlocked and settings can be made.

2. In the lower area of the start view of the controller, the different operating modes can be viewed and changed via the rotary control.

3. Turn the control dial until you have reached the desired operating mode.

4. The selected operating mode is activated by confirming with the "OK" key.

Set operating modes: Tips for comfort, ECO and hot water operation

1. Comfort mode: We recommend this operating mode if you live in a low-energy house and no temperature reduction is necessary. The heating circuit (HK) is kept at a constant comfort temperature (heating circuit 1 and heating circuit 2). Hot water is prepared according to the time programme.

2. ECO operation: Energy-saving tip during your weekend holiday! The heating circuit is kept at a constant ECO temperature (heating circuit 1 and heating circuit 2). Hot water is prepared according to the time programme.

3. Hot water mode: The heating period is over and you only need hot water in your home (summer mode). In this operating programme, the hot water is heated according to the time programme. If a time programme is active, the water in the hot water tank is heated to the comfort setpoint. During the other times, the water is heated to the ECO setpoint. The frost protection function is activated for heating operation.

Setting the room temperature and the heating programme | heat pump

To set your comfort temperature and your heating programme with comfort and ECO mode on your heat pump

You can set your comfortable temperature quickly and easily on the controller of your heat pump. Energy-saving tip for your heat pump: Use your individual heating programme to heat only when you really need it. In ECO mode, a lower room temperature is defined than in comfort mode. This saves energy costs! You can set the ECO temperature, for example, during the day when you are not in the house for a few hours, or at night - during these periods the room temperature is then lowered to the value you set. Our help videos show you how to do this.

Set room temperature: Explained step by step

1. After pressing the menu button for 3 seconds, the controller can be unlocked and settings can be made.

2. The menu item "Settings" then takes you to the submenu where you can set the temperatures for your various heating circuits under the heading "Heating" (depending on the system configuration, up to 2 heating circuits are available).

3. Now set the comfort temperature and the eco temperature here and confirm your entry with "OK".

4. You can then use the "MENU" key to go back to the previous menu levels until you have reached the start view again.

The current ACTUAL room temperature for your heating circuits is displayed on the Start screen, for example, under the item "ACTUAL TEMPERATR HK 1". A change in the room setpoint temperature causes a parallel shift of the heating curve. The higher the room setpoint temperature is set, the higher the energy costs you must expect.

Setting the heating programme: Saving energy costs, using the ECO function

In the HEATING PROGRAM menu item, you can define for the different heating circuits when and how often the unit is to heat with the comfort setpoint (room temperature). At other times, the unit heats with the ECO setpoint. You have the option of setting your heating for:

• every single day of the week (Monday - Sunday)

• Monday - Friday (Mon - Fri)

• Saturday and Sunday (Sat - Sun)

• the whole week (Mon - Sun)

You can now set three switching time pairs per day. The three switching time pairs are listed in the display to the right of the clock. A switching time pair consists of the start time and the end time at which the unit returns to the previous state. The time is entered with a step width of 15 minutes.

Setting the heating programme: Explained step by step

1. After pressing the menu button for 3 seconds, the controller unlocks.

2. Via "Programmes" you reach the submenu where you set the time periods for your different heating circuits in "Heating programme". Depending on the system configuration, up to 2 heating circuits are available.

3. Now select individual weekdays or fall back on our predefined settings. To fall back on the latter, turn the operating circle until you have passed the individual selection of weekdays. Confirm your selection with the "OK" button.

4. Set the start and end time for the switching time you have selected via the rotary control at which the comfort heating mode is to be active and confirm your entry with "OK".

Press the "MENU" button to return to the start view. Unfortunately, a setting beyond midnight (00:00) is not possible - you must set two switching times for this application.

You can set your hot water comfort temperature quickly and easily on the controller of your heat pump. Energy-saving tip for your heat pump: Use your individual hot water programme to only use high-temperature water when you really need it. In ECO mode, a lower hot water temperature is defined than in comfort mode. This saves energy costs!

Setting the water temperature: Explained step by step

1. After pressing the menu button for 3 seconds, unlock the controller unlocked

2. You can access the "Hot water" submenu via "Settings".

3. To set your desired hot water temperature, select "Hot water temperatures" in the 4th menu level.

4. Now set the comfort temperature and the ECO temperature for your hot water preparation. Confirm your entries with "OK".

5. Click on "Menu" to return to the standard view.

The current hot water temperature is displayed on the start screen under the item "WW-ISTTEMPERATURE".

Notes

• The higher the hot water setpoint temperature is set, the higher the energy costs you should expect.

• If the desired/set hot water temperature is not reached, please contact your specialist tradesman.

Please note that anti-legionella treatment may be required if hot water is drawn irregularly. You will find information on this in our operating and installation instructions. If you have any further questions, please contact your specialist tradesman.

Save costs and energy with your individual hot water programme

In the "Hot water programme", you define the times during which hot water is to be prepared with the comfort setpoint. During the other times, the hot water is prepared with the ECO setpoint. What does this mean exactly? In ECO mode, a lower hot water temperature is defined than in Comfort mode and can therefore always be used when there is no need for hot water. This saves energy and costs!

You have the option of setting the water heating for:

• every single day of the week (Mon - Sun)

• Monday - Friday (Mon - Fri)

• Saturday and Sunday (Sat - Sun)

• the whole week (Mon - Sun)

For each of these options, you can set three switching time pairs per day. The time is entered with a step width of 15 minutes.

Setting the hot water programme: explained step by step

1. After pressing the menu button for 3 seconds, unlock the controller.

2. You can access the "Hot water programme" submenu via "Programmes".

3. Select individual days of the week or access our predefined settings. To fall back on our predefined settings, turn the operating circle until you have exceeded the individual selection of all weekdays. Confirm your selection with the "OK" button.

4. After enabling the setting option, set your desired START and END time for the hot water programme by means of the "OK test" using the rotary control.

5. After you have selected the START time, confirm this by pressing "OK"-.

6. Use the rotary control to navigate to the END time, unlock with "OK" and set the END time.

Press the menu button to return to the standard view. The time switching pairs should be selected so that complete heating of the water tank is possible between switching on and off (at least 3 hours). A setting beyond midnight (00:00) is unfortunately not possible - you must set two switching times for this application.
