The Stiebel Eltron distributorship in France has a new managing director: Amaury Journel has been managing the subsidiary in France since April this year. The 49-year-old succeeds Bruno Lepretre, who took over the reins temporarily for several months following the departure of Manuel Thil. Journel has already gained experience with other German manufacturers based in France, most recently at Roto Frank.

“We are convinced that the French subsidiary can once again become an important pillar of renewable energies in the company,” said the managing director of the Stiebel Eltron Group, Dr Nicholas Matten. “Following the withdrawal of big subsidies for heat pumps by the then government in 2008, sales of course fell, but now we are seeing an upward trend again.” France is one of the world’s largest markets for hot water heat pumps, for example. “We want to significantly increase our market share here, and we also see great potential for heating heat pumps and ventilation systems,” said the new head of Stiebel Eltron in France.
